Press Conference on 03rd Convocation of CUSB by Vice-Chancellor Prof. K. N. Singh

We all are very happy with the presence of Her Excellency the President of India, Honourable Smt. Draupadi Murmu as the Chief Guest in the convocation ceremony of the Central University of South Bihar (CUSB) for the first time as the Visitor of the University. The entire university family is enthusiastically preparing for the third convocation ceremony of CUSB scheduled on October 20, 2023 (Friday). This is going to be a grand event in the Magadh region of Bihar related to higher education and we hope that everyone together will make it successful and memorable. This statement was made by CUSB VC Prof. Kameshwar Nath Singh, while talking to journalists in a press conference held at the university campus on Tuesday (10 October 2023). It’s a matter of pleasure that CUSB has got A++ (Plus-Plus) grade from NAAC with a 3.58 grade point which is a big achievement for the University. CUSB is only one among the five Central Universities in India to get NAAC A++ grade. The Vice Chancellor said that for the first time, the convocation ceremony of the University is being organized at its permanent 300-acre lush green campus at Gaya to confer degrees and medals to passed out students.

The Vice-Chancellor said that during the convocation ceremony, toppers will be given medals along with degrees which include Chancellor Gold Medal, School Gold Medal, Department Gold Medal etc. He said that the students of Undergraduate (UG), Postgraduate (PG) and M.Phil./Ph.D. level passed out during 2018, 2019 and 2020, will be awarded the degrees during the 3rd Convocation. During this period, a total of 103 students who topped at Under Graduate (UG) and Post Graduate courses will be awarded gold medals. For the year 2018, two (02) students will be given Chancellor’s Gold Medal, eight (08) students will be given School Gold Medal and 22 students will be given Department Gold Medal. Similarly, for the year 2019, two (02) students will be given Chancellor’s Gold Medal, eight (08) students will be given School Gold Medal and 22 students will be given Department Gold Medal. For the year 2020, two (02) students will be given Chancellor’s Gold Medal, ten (10) students will be given School Gold Medal and 27 students will be given Department Gold Medal.
