Vigya Tripathi, a research student of the Department of Historical Studies and Archeology of Central University of South Bihar (CUSB), presented her research paper at prestigious Brandeis University located in Boston, United States of America (USA) during 20-22 October, 2023. Vigya Tripathi participated in the international conference organized on the topic “Unfinished Legacy of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar: Law, Caste and the Pursuit of Justice” under the guidance of Dr. Sudhanshu Jha, Chairman of the Department. Vijya presented her research paper on the title “Understanding the Complexities of Caste, Gender and Legislation in Ambedkar’s Intersectional Framework”.
In this international conference, a detailed and concise discussion on the above topic was held by eminent scholars from different countries who have distinguished themselves in the field of research. The present Chief Justice of India, Dr. D.Y. Chandrachud also expressed his views was the keynote speaker at the conference.
Vigya’s research supervisor Dr. Anil Kumar, Head of the Department Dr. Sudhanshu Kumar Jha, and assistant professors Dr. Rohit Kumar and Dr. Neeraj Kumar Singh congratulated er contribution in the research field. Dr. Anil Kumar said that the History Department and the entire university family are feeling happy and proud with this research presentation done at the international level.
