In a remarkable achievement the Central University of South Bihar (CUSB) has received Rs. 2.63 crore Fund for Improvement of S&T Infrastructure (FIST) from the Department of Science and Technology of Government of India. The information is shared by CUSB Vice-Chancellor Prof. Kameshwar Nath Singh during his address in the cultural feast “Aarohan” organized by the Heritage Club of the University. CUSB VC said that we as a University driven by a sense of social responsibility to thrive sustainably in higher education through a student-centred and socially responsible educational praxis is feeling proud to extend our heartiest congratulations to Departments of Physics, Mathematics and Bioinformatics for DST-FIST Grant of Rs. 2.63 crore for augmentation of research facilities. We are proud to have dynamic research environment, well-equipped Central Instrumentation Facility (CIF), Robust Research & Development (R&D) Cell, Virtual labs for simulation-based experiments, full autonomy for PIs (MSRP) with Single Window System for on-the-spot redressal of project related issues and liberal policy for travel grants to attend seminars and conferences at national and international levels.
In the event organised under the 75th Republic Day celebration Prof. Singh said the biggest achievement of the past 75 years is our Constitution where the citizens of the country have given equal rights without any discrimination. We should abide by the constitution and make our contributions in nation building. He appealed to the youths present at the venue making fair contributions for making India a developed nation under Viksit Bharat @ 2047 drive of Prime Minister Narendra Modi with quality research and academic excellence. He specifically encouraged girls to participate in the development of the country by becoming self-reliant.
Further the cultural feast “Aarohan” started by lighting the lamp by the Vice-Chancellor and other guests. After the patriotic song ‘Saare Jahan Se Achcha”, a captivating presentation of classical music was given by the students of CUSB. The whole atmosphere echoed with the tune of music. A documentary film on “Manpur, Patwatoli” made by the students of the Department of Media and Mass Communication has been given a special award by UNESCO. A dramatic presentation related to the life of Gautam Buddha and his wife “Yashodhara” was given which enthralled the audience. Presentation on the development of Indian Army and agriculture till now was given through dance. In which the progress of Indian farmers was shown. The achievements of the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) from the beginning till the launch of Chandrayaan 3 were presented through dance. Classical dance was presented by famous classical dance artist Anand Raj of Gaya and his group of students.
