Representatives of the prestigious Piramal Foundation organized a Pre-Placement Talk regarding Gandhi Fellowship for the placement of final year Postgraduate (PG) students of the Central University of South Bihar (CUSB). Public Relation Officer (PRO) cum Co-ordinator of Placement Cell Md. Mudassir Alam said that Mr. Nasir Hassan (Program Leader) from Piramal Foundation along with the Gaya based fellow Mr. Shivham Khare made the participating students aware of the various aspects related to placement in the workshop conducted at the computer lab of Chanakya Bhavan of the University. Under the supervision of Vice-Chancellor Prof. Kameshwar Nath Singh, the placement drive was organised at Computer Laboratory with assistance of Mr. Motiur Rahman, Senior Technical Assistant and System Analyst Mr. Ashok Kumar Singh. About 100 students of CUSB had registered themselves for the workshop related to the application process of Gandhi Fellowship for the session 2024-26. With the dream of a bright future after completing their studies in the year 2024, the students enthusiastically participated in the pre-placement talk.

After the welcome address by PRO Md. Mudassir Alam, Mr. Nasir Hassan of Piramal Foundation gave detailed information about the Gandhi Fellowship in the workshop. Mr. Hassan explained the application process for fellowship to the students present in the computer lab of Chanakya Bhawan. He said that Gandhi Fellowship is a two-year fellowship program under which meritorious students with interest in social issues are selected from reputed institutions across India. Gandhi Fellowship believes in the fact that the youth have an important contribution in nation building, so their organization aims to inculcate the spirit of leadership among the students doing fellowship, which can bring a big change in the society and the country. At the same time, the students who receive this fellowship take appropriate steps after thinking seriously about other aspects to bring about social change. They meet people and provide them all possible help, which includes helping them start their own small-scale business etc. Students receiving Gandhi Fellowship are given a monthly grant of Rs 24,500 for two years.

At the end of the workshop, the students present during the question-answer session asked them many questions, which were answered satisfactorily by Mr. Hasan, and Mr. Khare. It may be noted that every year several students from CUSB got placed for Gandhi Fellowship, who after completion of fellowship get employment opportunities in prestigious institutions and many former students are working in Piramal Foundation itself.
