Online training session about how to utilise SCC Online effectively by Moot Court Society, 09th February, 2024

The Moot Court Society of CUSB organised an online training session aimed at guiding students on how to utilise SCC Online effectively. With a focus on enhancing digital capabilities, the session equipped students with essential knowledge and hands-on experience to navigate and utilize SCC Online. The guest speaker of the training session was Mr. Rajesh Raina, Training Manager, at Annamalai University. The session was supervised by the Head and Dean of the Department of Law and Governance, Prof. (Dr.) S.P. Srivastava along with Coordinator Moot Court Society, Dr Pallavi Singh and Faculty Member, Dr. Chandana Suba.

 

After the Inaugural Session and welcome by the Convener Moot Court Society, Mr Mukund Kumar. Mr Rajesh Raina explained various aspects of the SCC Online, emphasizing the importance of proficiency in navigating its features, providing step-by-step guidance on logging into the portal and utilizing its features effectively. Students were introduced to various methods of preparing for moot court competitions using SCC Online, including leveraging judgments from previous landmark cases and utilizing foreign cases as exemplary references.

 

During the session, students were enlightened about the myriad uses of SCC Online, such as conducting word searches for law-related terms, and efficiently finding case laws either by citation or parties’ information. Mr Rajesh Raina also highlighted the significance of active participation in Moot Court Competitions and urged students to take full advantage of SCC Online. The session achieved its aim with flying colours and proved to be immensely beneficial for the students, providing them with valuable insights into utilizing SCC Online effectively and efficiently. Mr Rajesh Raina’s comprehensive guidance and interactive approach enabled students to grasp the intricacies of the platform with ease, empowering them to harness their resources efficiently. The session came to an end as Mr Rajesh Raina expressed his gratitude to the present faculty members and the members of the Moot Court Society, CUSB who made the session possible and for inviting him as the resource person for the session.
