To work on complex problems of livestock animals the Central University of South Bihar (CUSB), has inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with ICAR-NIANP (National Institute of Animal Nutrition and Physiology), Bengaluru on February 20, 2024. The MoU was signed in an online mode between CUSB Registrar Col. Rajiv Kumar Singh and Dr. N K S Gauda, Director, ICAR-NIANP, Bengaluru. The MoU was signed in presence of Vice-Chanellor Prof. Kameshwar Nath Singh, Registrar Col. R. K. Singh, Prof. Durg Vijai Singh, Director RDC, CUSB and Dr. Ram Pratap Singh, Head, Department of Life Science. The NIANP team included Dr. N K S Gauda (Director, ICAR-NIANP), Dr. Jyotirmoy Ghosh (Principal Scientist & In-charge Academic Cell), Dr. Pal (Principal Scientist & In-charge PME Cell) and Dr. K. V. H. Sastry (Principal Scientist, NIANP Bangalore).
CUSB, Gaya and ICAR-NIANP, Bengaluru has inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to cooperate on following areas:
- Career development and capacity building of established staff to joint research collaboration,
- Exchange of registered Ph.D. student for research work,
- Support for curriculum development, including the provision of training courses,
- Support for the implementation of quality assurance procedures,
- Exchange of information and publications,
- Joint organization of conferences and workshops,
CUSB, the only NAAC A++ University in Bihar has achieved excellence in biological research. CUSB scientists are working on many local and global problems. At the same time, ICAR-NIANP is a discipline based research organization conducting cutting edge research on Animal Nutrition and Physiology on livestock. The MoU will help scientists of both the institutes to work on complex problems of livestock animals which will help farmers to increase their income.
Prof. Kameshwar Nath Singh, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, CUSB and Dr. N K S Gauda, Director, ICAR-NIANP congratulated both the institutes for signing the MoU. Prof. K N Singh, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, CUSB emphasized the importance of the MoU. Prof. Singh also stressed to develop a detailed collaborative plan for conducting joint research and other activities through this MoU, and this MoU will be an asset to both the institutions.
