The Department of Geology , Central University of South Bihar, Gaya has started geological field work for M.Sc. students in and around Kuju area Jharkhand from 5th February to 15th February, 2024. Prof. Prafull Singh, Head, Department of Geology inaugurated the Geological field program in presence of Col. Rajiv Kumar Singh, Registrar CUSB Gaya and faculty member of the department of Geology , bless the students and faculty coordinating the field program to complete the field training successfully.
All the faculty members of the department of Geology .The field training will be carried out and guided along with faculty of Geological Survey of India Training Institution, FTC Kuju and official of Central Coalfield Limited. The field work is coordinating and guiding by Dr. Vikal Kumar Singh and Dr. Priti Rai, Assistant Professor of the Department. The program aims to promote the lab to land practices and capacity building programs in which students will learn the basic concept of geological mapping, identification of rocks and other important geological expore in field. The students will be exposed to Underground & Opencast mines of Kuju, Ramgarh of CCL and they will be visiting Coal Mines Coal Washery Plant – Kuju, Ramgarh. Students will also learn the process of Bauxite Mines ,Hindalco Industries Ltd, Netarhat.
