Prof. H. K. Nigam is a Professor in the Department of Mathematics, School of Mathematics, Statistics and Computer Science, Central University of South Bihar. He has a vast experience of teaching and research of more than 19 years. His research interests are Artificial Intelligence, Wavelets, Compressive sensing, Approximation theory, Fourier analysis and Summability Theory. He has to his credit 71 research papers published in the journals of international repute. He is also the author and editor of the books published by international publishers. He has completed sponsored research projects funded by Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, Government of India, New Delhi and Science and Engineering Research Board, Government of India, New Delhi. He has supervised 05 Ph.D. theses and 15 master’s dissertations. He is currently supervising 03 Ph.D. theses and 06 master’s dissertations.
He has presented number of research papers and delivered invited talks in various nation and international conferences in India and Abroad. He is a reviewer for Mathematical Reviews (American Mathematical Society) and zbMATH (European Mathematical Society, FIZ Karlsruhe and Heidelberg Academy of Science). He has served as editorial member of the two journals. He is also serving as a referee for many journals such as Journal of Inequalities and Applications, Open Mathematics, Demonstratio Mathematics, Indian Journal of Pure and Applied Mathematics, Moroccan Journal of Pure and Applied Mathematics, Asian Journal of Fuzzy and Applied Mathematics, Bulletin of Mathematical Analysis and Applications, Electronics Journal of Mathematical Analysis and Applications, Journal of Mathematics and Applications etc. He is a member of reputed profession bodies such as American Mathematical Society, Indian Society of Technical Education, Indian Society of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences and Progress of Mathematics.
