Vice Chancellor of Central University of South Bihar (CUSB), Professor Kameshwar Nath Singh, released the half-yearly newsletter of the university “CUSB Times 2023 (January – June)” at his office in the administrative building. The major achievements and activities of the university during the six months period have been published in the newsletter as a souvenir. The PRO said that the 28-page magazine is published under the patronage of VC Prof. K. N. Singh. In this issue, special focus has been given to the visit of the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAC) peer team conducted during May 17-19, 2023. The magazine has prominently published the University’s ‘A++’ grade received from NAAC with 3.58 grade points in June 2023 based on the peer team’s visit and evaluation to CUSB.
During the launch of the magazine, VC Prof. Singh praised the editorial board for its excellent work. In his message published in the magazine, the Vice Chancellor briefly discussed the achievements of the university and made special mention of NAAC A++ grading. Along with NAAC grading, various programs organized in the university, days of national importance, important days of CUSB, sports competitions, etc. have been published in the newsletter through pictures and articles. The magazine also carries details of achievements of skilled professors of the university like national level awards, honours, articles published in magazines and journals, published books, participation in seminars and conferences and grants received for research etc. In the newsletter, details of students’ job placements (employment), scholarship and fellowship, success in UGC NET, GATE are published. At last the clippings of news published in various newspapers of the university have been displayed in the form of beautiful collages and photographs of NAAC Peer team have been published. “CUSB Times” news magazine is published twice a year (on a six-monthly basis).
