Priyanka Kumari Research Scholar of Department of Physics, working in the functional Materials Research Laboratory, of CUSB Gaya, received best poster presentation awards at the “Young Researchers Conclave” as a part of One Week One Lab Campaign of CSIR on 23rd August 2023 at CSIR- Central Institute of Mining and Fuel Research, Dhanbad. The coordinator of the program Dr. M.S. Santosh congratulated her for her achievement.
The group leader Dr. Rohit R Shahi of FMRL lab told she got this award for the presentation on the “High Entropy Alloys for Excellent Functional Properties”. She is working on Magnetic Properties of High Entropy Alloys” for two and half years and got promising results on the magnetic properties of these alloys. One of the benefits of these types of alloys is they can minimize core loss of the present transformer. Approximately 9% of electricity is usually a lot due to core loss of magnetic materials used in the present transformer. Also, he added all the motors have such soft magnets any small change in the magnetic properties of these magnets’ drastic transformation can be observed for such materials. She is extensively working on this system and published five research articles in this area and a book chapter and two review article in the journal of International repute.
Dr Shahi, group leader of FMRL Lab congratulated her and told that she is one of the hard-working, sincere, and dedicated research scholars of the department of Physics. Dr. Shahi also added the finding of her research is important in regard to the shortcoming of the conventional magnetic materials. If we will optimize the composition, these materials can replace the commercially available magnets and enhanced the performance of different motors. Her lab mates Mr. Amit, Shashikant and Aryan congratulated for her for this achievement. Head Department of Physics Prof Venktesh Singh, congratulated to Mrs Priyanka and said such type of award motivate for good work as well as other research scholars of the department of physics will also be inspired with her achievement.
