On the eve of World Human Rights Day on December 9th, 2023, the Legal Aid Clinic functional under School of Law and Governance (SLG) of Central University of South Bihar (CUSB) organized an awareness program at a local Government School. The event aimed to enlighten school children about their rights and responsibilities, fostering awareness and empowerment. The aim was not only to inform but also to empower the children to stand up for their rights and those of others.
The dedicated efforts of Legal Aid Clinic Coordinator Dr Surendra Kumar and the faculty members Dr Anant Parkash Narayan and Dr Chandana Suba, proved to be a resounding success in imparting knowledge and instilling a sense of justice among the young minds. The interactive sessions covered various aspects of human rights including the right to education, health, and children’s safety. Dr. Surendra Kumar informed the children In commemoration of World Human Rights Day, the members of the Legal Aid Clinic took a significant step towards to empower the future generation learning, playing, and having meals are their basic rights, which cannot be taken away by anyone. Prof SP Srivastava, Head and Dean, SLG said that the event underscored the significance of fostering awareness and understanding of human rights among the younger generation.
The event concluded with an engaging Q&A session, where the students actively participated, asking insightful questions about their rights and seeking clarification on various legal concepts. The positive energy and enthusiasm displayed by the students reflected the success of the program in achieving its objectives.
