DST-STUTI Hands-on Training Program on “Advanced Immunological Tools and Techniques”

The Department of Biotechnology and Research and Development Cell of Central University of South Bihar (CUSB), in collaboration with Jamia Hamdard PMU, New Delhi, are organizing the DST-STUTI Sponsored Hands-on Training Program on “Advanced Immunological Tools and Techniques” from 19^th to 25^th September 2022 in the CUSB Campus.

An initiative by Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India.

Department of Science and Technology (DST), Govt. of India has recognized Jamia Hamdard as one of the Nodal Project Management Unit (PMU) for its Flagship “Synergistic Training program Utilizing the Scientific and Technological Infrastructure (STUTI) Program”. The Scheme STUTI is intended to build human resource and its knowledge capacity through open access S&T Infrastructure across the country. As a complement to the various schemes of DST funding for expansion of R&D Infrastructure at academic institutions, STUTI scheme envisions a hands-on training program and sensitization of the state-of-the-art equipment as well as towards sharing while ensuring transparent access of S&T facilities.

Jamia Hamdard PMU, New Delhi has selected Department of Biotechnology, CUSB, Gaya to organize this one week hands-on training program on “Advanced Immunological Tools and Techniques”.

The main objective of this training program is to provide an overview (theory as well as hands-on training) of Advanced Immunological techniques and their applications in Biology.

Topics to be covered:

Immune cells separation and culture.

Flow Cytometry for detection of cells.

Western Blot for detection and quantification of proteins.

ELISA for diagnosis of diseases.

Fluorescence Microscopy for staining and visualization of cells.

Eligibility:

M.Sc./Ph.D. student, Post Doctoral Fellow, Early Career Scientist/Researcher/Faculty Member

Registration is Free; Food and accommodation (if required) will be taken care by the host institution.

The number of Participants is limited to 30 (thirty).

The participants will be selected based on a screening of the applicants whose area of research matches the themes of this training programme and attending the training will be useful for their ongoing research.
