“Four New Buildings will be constructed as per the MoU by CPWD”
Taking a great start in the new year towards ensuring academic excellence with appropriate resources, Central University of South Bihar (CUSB) has signed an MoU and entered into an agreement with CPWD (Central Public Works Department) on December 29, 2023 for the construction of four buildings under the third phase of building construction. The MoU was signed in the presence of Vice Chancellor Prof. Kameshwar Nath Singh between Registrar Col. Rajiv Kumar Singh and Chief Engineer cum Executive Director of CPWD, Bodhgaya Project Zone Mr. Manoj Kumar Jha.
On this occasion, CPWD Additional Director General (ADG) Mr. Shahbuddin Ahmed, Mr. S. K. Singh (Executive Engineer), Mr. Gyan Ranjan (Assistant Executive Engineer) along with CUSB Executive Engineer Mr. Kalyan Saha, Deputy Registrar Mr. Kumar Kaushal, Assistant Registrar Mr. Shashi Ranjan etc. were present. After signing the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in the presence of witnesses, both parties agreed to the agreement for the construction of the building by formally exchanging papers.
Giving detailed information, Registrar Colonel Singh said that a grant of Rs 99.95 crore has been received from the Higher Education Funding Agency (HEFA) for the construction of four buildings under the third phase of the building construction. Under the third phase, buildings of four schools will be constructed, including School of Law and Governance (estimated amount Rs. 27 crores), School of Physical and Chemical Sciences (estimated amount Rs. 29 crores), School of Business Studies and Management (estimated amount Rs. 23 crores) and School of Health Sciences (estimated amount Rs. 19 crores). HEFA has given the amount to CUSB for the financial year 2023-24 to the financial year 2025-26.
